Recently, I had the privilege of working with Ernst & Young on an exciting event. Innovation Realized is the firm’s flagship global event for clients and stakeholders. Under the direction of EY’s Global Markets Digital and Business Disruption Leader, I supported the curation of all speakers for the event, which drew from my background in the “future of space” and my knowledge of the emerging tech landscape.

Women in Tech Meetup
In April of 2017 Amanda partnered with We are Wearables to put on Women and Wearables, an evening of conversation and activism empowering women in tech. Sponsored by the City of Toronto, the Canadian Film Centre, and Meta, the event focused on female-founded companies as well as female-focused products, with keynotes and learnings from high-profile women in tech. The event also featured a startup showcase and networking area where women could connect.

Beauty filters are nothing new, but what is new about TikTok's Bold Glamour Filter is the technology used to create the effect. Unlike traditional filters, which use a combination of artificial intelligence and augmented reality to layer makeup onto the skin like a mask, Bold Glamour uses generative AI to actually recreate your face in real-time on your live video. But to what end? Host Amanda Cosco set out to recreate the look in real life, and asks who gains from making us feel an unfiltered face isn't enough.
Educational Video for National Geographic
National Geographic Learning develops educational materials for students learning English as a second language. They required a video on the future of fashion that was informative, interesting, and sparked conversation to be included in the fourth edition of one of their most successful titles, World Link. Originally, National Geographic contacted me for exclusive rights to a video I’d already produced and published on my YouTube channel, but over the course of our discovery call it became clear they were looking for something more customized for their audience. I scripted, storyboarded, filmed, hosted, and edited an entirely new video for them on the topic of rental fashion. This gave English learners the opportunity to understand an emerging trend in apparel while also incorporating new vocabulary.

Explainer Video for Blue Bite
Blue Bite, a B2B SaaS company, needed help sharing their mission of connecting brands and consumers through products. Working with their marketing team, I scripted, storyboarded and edited a series of videos to be used on their website, YouTube channel, and email newsletter as well as in presentations and sales meetings to help show new prospects the value of Blue Bite’s software and the value-add of doing business with them.
