Ace Bakery: Rising to Social Media Success

Challenge: Ace Bakery, maker of European-style breads and baked goods, required a strategic and creative thinker to develop the company’s social media strategy. The right candidate would have the know-how and resources to successfully launch and maintain a presence across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn while also mastering brand voice and style. The social strategy needed to ladder up to the goals of the sales and marketing teams while also remaining true to the company’s mandate of a superior artisan product.

Solution: Ace Bakery entrusted me to plan, launch, and maintain their social media presence. Reporting to their Director of Marketing, I crafted a strategy that built brand awareness for Ace products and inspired audiences in the kitchen. I developed monthly content plans that touched on holidays and seasonal gatherings where Ace bread could elevate the entertaining and home cooking experience. I hired and managed a small but dedicated team of community managers, graphic designers, illustrators, and copywriters to execute this content plan. On LinkedIn, we shared Ace’s story of corporate social responsibility and behind-the-scenes of what it’s like to work for one of Toronto’s most beloved bread companies.
